CETCO Geotextiles

Product Description

CETCO nonwoven geotextiles are produced in state of the art production facilities – needlepunch manufactured with chemically resistant polypropylene staple fibers to produce premium grade products. These products are available in a range of weights from four to sixteen ounces per square yard.

Applications

CETCO nonwoven geotextiles can be used in a wide range of applications for sediment remediation projects. Nonwoven geotextiles can provide puncture protection for geomembranes or geotextile tubes, can be used to separate dissimilar materials used in drainage layers and provide additional reinforcement to soft unstable soils.

CETCO GEOTEXTILES
Applications Product Selection Criteria Product
Protection
Puncture, burst, mass
Heavy weight nonwovens provide the highest level of puncture resistance.
Separation of dissimilar materials
Tensile, elongation, tear, AOS, permittivity, permeability
Light to medium weight materials generally provide adequate separation characteristics.
Filtration
AOS, permittivity, mass, tensile, permeability
Lightweight geotextiles generally provide adequate filtration characteristics and minimize clogging.

Drainage / Collection

Mass, transmissivity (water flow rate), permeability
Light to medium weight geotextiles generally provide adequate drainage properties.

Reinforcement

Grab, elongation, tear, mass
Most nonwovens will add strength and improve soil stability. High performance products may be required for severe applications.
